4th of July Weekend

Saturday, we all got together for the Firecracker 5k in Shreveport. Almost the whole family was there: Brent and Laura, Amy and Judd, Scott and Tracey, my mom and dad with all the grandkids except for Nathan and his family and MY HUSBAND. I thought he was going to meet me there, but the fag slept in. He was talking earlier in the week how he was going to beat Scott (yeah right), but it was still fun and nice that he was excited about it. Whatever, I'm over it. He worked all day the before and drove all the way up; so he was tired.

Anyway, we had a lot of fun. Scott, Brent, Judd, and I ran in it while everyone else walked with the strollers.

Her are 5 of the 8 grandkids: Bryce, Brooke, Rylan, Shalom, and Annabeth. Aren't they all just so cute?!

All of us together....except Mike.......I'm really over it. ;)

I stole the pictures I found from TimeBox Photography's website of each of us in the race. All of us that ran in it walked back to meet up with the rest of them to walk in with them. We had a lot of fun, and it was a great way to start off the weekend.







The rest of the day we just chilled at home. In the evening we all got together and grilled at Nathan's swim club, Town South. (Swimming seems to be our favorite past time this summer.) Laura's parents came and her sister, Julie came with her husband Nick. All the guys were showing off their different dives and flips off the diving board. Then, we all played some water volleyball.








Sunday, we went to the Clyde Fant Frisbee Golf Park to watch the fireworks.



We stayed in Shreveport another day, and, of course, we hung out at the pool and played a little tennis. It's always fun at the pool with the kids.


Annabeth looks like a little Laura. She is just too cute.



All the playing we did this weekend, the kids were worn out.
