Waimano Falls Trail

This was our last hike together before my parents and Sarah and Kip came to visit. I wanted to do one more new one. This hike was probably the hardest hike we did . The trail starts out on level ground for the first 1/4 of a mile and then the rest of a mile or so trail to the waterfall was a pretty tough down hill hike. The waterfall was so pretty. Someone was cool and left ropes tied up everywhere to swing into the water. Luckily for me, it wasn't very high to jump from. Of course, Mike jumped from all the tall cliffs. It made me a little nervous though because the water was only about 8 feet deep. Going back was brutal because it was all up hill.

Somewhere along the hike or in the water, Mike lost the key to the car. He thought it was going to stay in his velcro back pocket. We didn't have our cell phones on us to all anybody because they were in the car. Luckily, I left a crack in the window on my side so Mike asked for a wire hanger from one the neighbors in the neighborhood to open the car door. We eventually, got in and got our cell phones and some other things from the car. We called our friend, Nikki, to bring us an extra to her car but she was already out and about in town. She said that she would pick us up though. We couldn't really describe to her how to find us from where we were so we walked 3 miles completely down hill to get to the main road. I wasn't too happy with Mike. He's so cool though. He just goes with the flow and laughs about it right away. It's funny now, but my legs hurt so, so bad. Nikki finally picked us up (which was so sweet of her) and we eventually got back to her house to get an extra key to the car. We didn't want to leave the car in the neighborhood an hour away so we borrowed her truck so we could bring the car back. We didn't get home until about 1 a.m. It was quite the experience. What a long day!
